Study Permit Application Delay

HI All
I have applied for Study Permit through VFS London on 7th June 2018 . Unfortunately today is 23rd July 2018 I have not received any update of my application and tracker still shows my application is being processed at London office. Can anyone tell me how many days they would take more ? Why are they making delay ?

London/uk processing time is one week. Most probably you are not permanent residence of UK. And background check is taking longer than usual from your home country. You can contact them by CSE case specific enquiry from IRCC website. Check google how to do that

Thanks for the reply.I just sent an enquiry to the IRCC as you suggested and they said they will reply within 28 working days which is another time load.. you were right i was in student visa in london while my application had been submitted. But my question is how long they need to check my background ? already 6 weeks gone now its 7th week. Isn't it too long ? Would you suggest me how many days they would need more ?

Dont know exactly. We all are in the same boat. But one thing is for sure. IRCC do make bachground checks through agencies. Or else our applications just might be on their tables and lack of Visa Staff they are unable to process efficiently.

Its mentioned on IRCC to contact us if your processing time exceeded. You should have done this long before when one week time limit exceeded.. anyhow you were not aware of that before. But dont worry CSE will be attached to your application soon. 28 days are their response time for CSE. During this they will attach it with your application and if requires processing they might process it early. If its going to take more time then they will reply you within 28 days about your case update

If you are no longer interested in visiting Canada, please inform our office in writing that you wish to withdraw your application. As processing of your application has already commenced, a processing fee refund would not be applicable

Well it seems good sign. They are still processing your application. It might be a positive sign. They are alarmed now the applicant is waiting. I hope you will hear an answer soon. From whole response from IRCC i observed that the one week processing time os for british citizens only. Other nationalities probably will take more time as they might be checking your background. Do not reply now. You should receive response soon before your school starts.

Thanks for your feedback. My school starts at 4th September. How long should I wait for their response? I am concerning will they take the whole August month ?
