Hi experienced members, I like to know the chances of getting student visa for the second time after I have completed my post graduate certificate from Canada back in 2015. After finishing my studies,I worked for about a year and half in various roles and came back to my country without applying for immigration(Personal reasons). Also I like to know if CIC accepts my student visa for the second time, will they issue PGWP if i complete studies for the second time? Thanks.

You can apply again if you have a strong profile. PGWP is a one in a lifetime things so no, you are not eligible for another one.

May not be eligible since graduated in 2015 & you need one year work experience within last three years. So one year since 2018.
Thanks for the reply. Yes I missed that golden opportunity to apply for CSC because when I was in Canada I wasn’t paid much attention about immigration rules and also I was under severe personal problems. My other option is FSW but that can be uncertain due to high express entry points. I cannot claim all work points while in Canada except one where I worked around 6 months before coming back to my home country. The previous work I did one of the institution shut down their business so there is no way I can get references and as per current COVID situations my chances are slim to collect points for work experience as except tax or paystubs I cant collect written job reference letters.

You can’t claim any Canadian work experience. But you can claim it as foreign experience. How will taking another Canadian program help your score?

I am not even sure if I can claim it as work experience. I only have tax papers and paystubs with me for to prove as work experiences. I need letter of references. One business shut off due to covid and another one is difficult to obtain as I dont have any contacts. And will be difficult to obtain from outside Canada. The last work experience that I have for 6 months I have all papers. Tax info, reference letter and paystub. My option is wait for FSW scores to come down as I cannot claim points from CEC or give up immigration completely. Also I have under a false impressions for last couple of years that if i can study again I could get another work permit. My only regret is i have eligibility for immigration but I can’t obtain it. Thanks again for the information.

You will want a CRS score of 470+. Unfortunately a PGWP is once in a lifetime so coming here to study will not give you one. All the best.
