please share how did you guys get accommodation in canada ,
i mean did you book your accommodation from india.. or stayed in hotel or in a gurdwara initially and than took accommodation as per convenience...or stayed with relatives initially..

Let me told you what I did..

I meet one guy on fb ( Fanshawe College group)
He told me to apartment is available on sharing basis. 210 Dollar per month including net, hrdro, electricity etc. Only I need to spend on daily food extra. Let me know if this 210 per month is good deal.

College provides free accommodation for first 3 days and free airport pick up ( Fanshawe college provides. I do not know others). 3 days are enough to find accommodation. Its not big problem. You get plenty apartments there. My apartment is 5 min walking distance from my college. If you are dealing from here then tell them to send pics.

initially i thought maybe most of students have their relatives out there.
but now i see my thoughts were wrong.
i think there are some websites where you can find classifieds regarding house rent.
not sure whether gurdwara allows you to stay.maybe that can be an option if they do so.
otherwise i guess hotels are the only option.
by the way where are you going in canada?

Usually you can make a deal online itself, but its advised to make a deal only once you are there as from here you can see pics but not the area and stuff like that. So its okay to put up in a hotel for time being if no other facility is available.

and yes 210 dollar deal is very good, good you found the accommodation .
