To sum up this thread so far:
People from Kerala should provide Bangalore address for pickup, Travel and stay in Bangalore to submit and collect passport.
Can I courier my passport to my friend / relative in Bangalore; and ask them to give to the BlueDart pickup agent?
Is that an option, at least for collection?
In IRCC webinar, a consulate person said 'We do no want you to travel and risk exposure."
And yet, we have to travel and risk exposure to COVID-19 - for biometrics, passport submission and collection!
And quarantine for 14 days after we come back each time!

If you dont mind could you please tell the name of area which is serviceable in Bangalore?I was also given the vishakapatnam blue dart address when asked about drop of locations. Since that was not a possible option I gave a pickup address in Bangalore and luckily it was serviceable. I travelled to Bangalore gave the passport and it came back with in a week. I stayed in Bangalore until it came back. Not sure about other drop of locations in South, I would suggest not to waste time on asking about it as it's really hard to get a proper response from vfs.
Same situation here Swathy. Do not panic. Canada immigration has extended the deadline to 90 days. When did you send the email? There is queue, they check and respond to emails within 2- 5 business days.Hi all,

Till now I did not receive any reply from them. Really in a panic situation as my 30 days to submit my passport is getting over by Dec- 25.
No I didn't pay for premium lounge. Even in the email they asked me if you have paid for premium lounge, then please send them the receipt. I replied back telling I did not opted for it. From thereafter no respond from VFS.I do not think they will penalize you for their inability to pickup the passport?

Initially I gave Trivandrum pin code. In blue dart website it is showing serviceable. But VFS replied saying this pincode location is not service due to embargo.
Hi, got response from VFS that my address provided is in non serviceable area.
"Addressing your below query, we would like to inform you that address provided by you is not serviceable hence we request you to provide an alternate address for courier pickup or confirm if you could submit your passport along with other required documents at the Blue dart office or not."

I ended up sending my passport from coimbatore which is relatively easier to get to than Bangalore. Before choosing to send from Bangalore or any other place, it'll be worthwhile to check with vfs, since tamil nadu is also serviceable. Pick a place nearest to you, you don't have to flock to any one place. Hope that helps!
