Students for September 2019 intake

I am in same situation. Reapplied on 30yh May 2019 medical passed on June 5 ......current status is " We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirement" and " We are processing your background check".....any idea how long will it take from here?

same status in my gc key too we will hear from them soon hopefully an approval and for all those who are waiting i wish them luck #hope

I got my Visa Approved today. Here is my timeline:
Applied on 4th April 2019 through VFS, Biometrics on the same day
Linked GCKey on 10th April, it was Background Processing

No update to my application afterwards, I inquired multiple times since processing time for KSA is 6weeks. I was told that since my university starts in September, my application will be considered after those who start in June/July.

Received Correspondence Letter for Biometrics on 11th June
Received Approval Letter on my GCKey application on 12th June.

Overall, it took about 10weeks for my application to process. KSA does not have a bifurcation for SDS or general applicants.

Wasn't required for me... had visited Canada last summer... dunno if there's any correlation but it wasn't on my checklist

Hi I also traveled last summer. I was wondering since I have a Valid Visa for almost 4 Years if I will still need to send passport. Did you have a valid visa and they still asked to send passport? Because I saw on this forum if you have valid visa they issue the student visa at the airport... not sure though ... thanks and looking forward for your feedback.

What are the chances my visa file will be accepted or rejected??

Pgdm stands for post graduate diploma in management

read this link. Two ghost updates means you are probably in Real IP2 stage.

from where you receive this ghost updates on your emails or gckey

After logging in from your Gckey, if you see the current state is (profile/updated ) and after logging out and logging in again it changes to (Submitted). Means there was an update in your application. As no notification is sent to the applicant this update is known as ghost update. You need to log in everyday to see such updates.

Yes, there are a few of us who received a second correspondence on the 4 week mark. I just received one yesterday. Nothing else has changed...still waiting.
Did it say "Your application is in process and is proceeding normally. We have received a large number of study permit applications from students wanting to start their studies in Canada at the same time as you. We are processing the applications as quickly as possible."?
Seems to be an automated email.

naa mate .. mine is just the same bio metric correspondence letter which i received on 9 th of may ... each and every words are the same in the attached PDF except the date ...

the remaining info are like this ..

as per sds process i gave my medical test before applying for the visa ... and i remember that i created my profile on 7th and the review started after 9th once i received my biometric correspondence letter ...not sure why its showing that i cleared my medical test on 8th ... maybe medical results were updated on that day ...

Ohh okay....actually I linked my account on gckey on 1st april
On 15th received 2nd acknwldgmnt letter and medical passed on 14th May after that no update not even elgibility review started

Congrats! well, that took longer than expected, but the most important thing is that you got it on time! I also got the passport request a few days ago, I am so glad I didn't have to wait 14 weeks... I was so stressed out. Can't wait to go to Canada
