My fiance got PR for Canada, we are now planing to get married in November. However my study permit has been refused recently. Will this impact my spousal visa which I will apply after we get married in November. This will take place in India.

No, this won't affect.

Medical was passed in my previous application on cic account and as medical is valid for one year as consultant also told,i have not done medical again but submitted the previous medical report and subsequently current cic account says -no medical required.
I have one small doubt that i had parallel applied for caips note also, that will not create any confusion?please comment

Ordering caips note can not creat any confusion even it's advisable to do so when your application as been delay to know what is the cause of it and also remind them that you have been waiting ... but the note do take 30days to get back to you ... do so and also mail them...

I submitted application on 20th May, Biometrics done on 22nd May (updated online same day), medical upfront.

I have no updates after that day. I know it has only been few working days, but considering its 3 weeks timeline an update should come soon.

Am I looking towards a refusal? No medical pass or anything? Its really started to bother me now.

Hi your timeline is also kind of similar to me. I also applied on 20th May SDS Online and Medical got updated on 30th May.

I knows is going to be refuse since you got biomentric correspondence letter ahead with out any medical update passed.

Sorry for the out come not favourable .
What is the main grounds you where refuse for.
So if the medical passes before bio metrics does that mean approval? They are not satisfied that i would leave Canada after my studies and limited employment opportunities in the country of residence. Can i reapply?

It won't affect your spouse visa so dont worry and good luck.

not necessary.in my case medical passed much before bio metric but next day got refusal.i have applied again with addressing the reasons of refusal.
after re-applying on 24th may i have seen on ircc bangalore site written-you do not need medical exam and we dont need your finger prints because both had passed in my previous application,so how many more days ircc will take for eligibility and background check my background check was also completed in previous application, please comment.

me too my visa also refused.
sorry, very painful to hear, please share your full visa journey after admission offer letter so that we can compare what is happening at ircc,
as i understand if a student has been given unconditional admission, gic paid, one year tuition paid,no medical issues, proof of fund for further living expenses and fee available, visa officer should not deny visa keeping ielts at least 6 but i dont know why they are harassing us

Hey,
I believe that each application is treated independently and is most likely assigned to a different visa officer. Hence, I think that your new application will require to go through each phase/check again. The text that says that you do not require a medical and biometrics are usually generic for a new (first time) application, until they actually start reviewing your application. Maybe they will cross reference your previous application due to the recency of it but that's just speculation Each visa officer will need to do their job in its entirety to avoid mistakes.
Nevertheless, I wish you the best for a swift approval.
