Many more Congrats.....Best of luck for ur future endeavours..Visa approved at last
I applied on 30 April with medical upfront. But I linked my application to an online account on 14 May, Since the same date it shown me that I have passed medical. So I think, I passed medical before 14 May.Mine got medical passed on 15th may and no reply after that.
When did u get your medical passed?
Many congratulations brother. Am inspired. How did u proof the study gap, is it two yrs program and did u pay for one full yr tuition or semester.what is your tie. Thank youHi Guys,
I have been a silent reader of all the post in this group and really appreciative of all the shared information, experiences and support system. All the information posted has helped me tremendously in understanding the process as well as coping with the stress associated during the waiting period. Hence, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who have helped me through this journey, unknowingly, and keeping me composed.
That being said, I would like to give you a brief about my case. I applied for study permit after 20 years of education gap for a post-grad program. According to consultants in India, I don't have a chance of getting approved and hence I shouldn't even try applying.
Not agreeing to their thought process, I did proceed with the application and as destiny would have it, I received my approval last night. So for those in a similar situation who are losing hope, I wanted to write this post mainly to request them not to lose faith and proceed with their dream. Have faith in yourself, be truthful with your thoughts and head for your goals!
Having said that, my timeline is as under:
Medical: Upfront before application
17th April: Application - Online General Category
24th April: Biometrics
1st May: 1st Acknowledgement Letter
15th May: 2nd Acknowledgement Letter
28th May: Medical Passed
29th May: Biometric Validity Letter from CPC - Ottawa
30th May: Passport Submission Request
Hope my post helps and inspires someone the way this thread helped me! Pass it on!
Good luck to everyone and thank you to all!

Hey Benjena,Many congratulations brother. Am inspired. How did u proof the study gap, is it two yrs program and did u pay for one full yr tuition or semester.what is your tie. Thank you
Same here I applied on April 2 still no update. I did my biometric at Kingston VFS.I applied from Jamaica and the processing time moved from 4 weeks to 5 weeks last Tuesday but I've passed that time also. I have no update since I applied and that's like almost 2 month now.
No it won't take 28 days, for me I sent web form enquiry on May 13 and got reply on May 20 (1 week). Again I sent one more web form enquiry on this Tuesday (May 28) waiting for reply. I don't know why IRCC Jamaica takes so long...hope for the best.I sent a mail through the web form and they state they will respond in 28 working days that's like another month. I applied since April 14 and biometric done on the 23rd of April. June 13 is 2 months since I've applied.
The processing time moved from 4weeks to 5weeks since last week for Jamaica. To my calculations I've surpassed the processing time with no update.
I didn't do medical up front as it is not a requirement but I did police record which was required. I think I'm out of patience so to wait 28 working days is actually a month and change in days. The school asked to pay the balance of the tuition for the semester and I don't want to as I haven't heard anything back from the embassy as yet not even to say my biometric checked or that my police record passed or something.
Do they really take 28 working days?
