There is a possibility that you will get approved after you reinforced your application. Be hopeful and patient. We all hope that you get a response within a few weeks.

Hey,
The new application will most likely be designated to a different visa officer, so yea they will need to recheck it as an entirely new application. However it can be crossed referenced but that's just speculation. Best wishes!

I sent a mail through the web form and they state they will respond in 28 working days that's like another month. I applied since April 14 and biometric done on the 23rd of April. June 13 is 2 months since I've applied.

The processing time moved from 4weeks to 5weeks since last week for Jamaica. To my calculations I've surpassed the processing time with no update.

I didn't do medical up front as it is not a requirement but I did police record which was required. I think I'm out of patience so to wait 28 working days is actually a month and change in days. The school asked to pay the balance of the tuition for the semester and I don't want to as I haven't heard anything back from the embassy as yet not even to say my biometric checked or that my police record passed or something.

Do they really take 28 working days?

Hi guys, just want to find out if I am supposed to attach the Decision Letter stating the Refusal of my Study Permit when I am reapplying?

Thanks!

I don't think so, but you can reference your previous application and explain how you have improved on the areas.

So I'm in a bit of a jiffy and would like your opinion. To start, some background info:

I am a 27-year-old female Chinese elementary school teacher in China. My university degree is in Business English.

I have never traveled outside of China. I applied and got unconditional acceptance to the 2-year Accounting(Diploma) at Vancouver's Langara College beginning September 2019. With this accounting degree, I intend to pursue my CPA and return to China to help out my near-retiring parents. This pay would be substantially better than a teacher's income.

I have paid full tuition ($12,000 CAD to Langara) and I have a Scotiabank GIC ($10,100 CAD). I also have 300,000 RMB in my bank and additional funds if required. For financial information, I provided my GIC, proof of tuition paid, the aforementioned bank statement, my current employment letter and salary, my parents' employment letters and salaries, our joint house ownership certificate.

I submitted my completed study permit application online on May 24 (Or so I thought, more on this later) without a medical exam.

I received the letter to submit biometrics on May 25... and that's where my woes begin.

After opening the letter, I realized it stated my Birth Country as Canada. To my horror, I realized I mistakenly put Canada as my birth country in my imm1294e. I immediately (May 25) submitted an IRCC webform request to amend this issue, attaching my passport and family info firm. I have not heard back from the webform nor emails back from IRCC.

I have not gone to submit my biometrics as I am wondering if they will provide a new letter with the updated birth country.

But more concerning...

I realized I did not submit an SOP nor Study Plan as it was not listed as "required" forms. I realize this can seriously hamper my chances of approval.

So my questions:

  1. Should I withdraw my current application and submit a new application with correct imm1294e, the other documents, and any additional documents? OR

  2. Should I submit another webform with my correct imm1294e and any additional documents? AND

  3. What additional documents not listed as "required" should I be attaching? My IELTS score? Both SOP and Study Plan?
Many thanks!
