Congrats bro........When is your college starting........Where are you from India?

Thanks,

My classes will start from Sep 6 but have orientation a week earlier. Will try to reach 3-4 days before orientation to shed off the jet lag.

I'm from New Delhi.

I'll be travelling alone. Try different agents and different airlines and you will get a better quote.

Try makemytrip to get initial guidance of prices.

Which college and course are you going to?

I have studied M.Sc. in Computer Science from Calcutta University and passed with 73% (65.12% in B.Sc. from same place)

I have been working in TCS for the past 3 years and recently got admission in Software Engineering Technology - Interactive Gaming (Fast Track) in Centennial College (IELTS overall 8.0) .

I am stuck with the bloody loan as the god damned SBI is lazy and indifferent to my constant appeals for quicker processing. As soon as I get my loan approved I shall do the medicals and file for the Visa. Incidentally, the Visa office is right opposite to my apartment (i can actually look into its windows for chirssakes') , but its more than freaking me out all the same (lol!) .

Each day is passing like a year for me and the bank manager's face comes in my nightmares whenever i'm stoned.

Please keep us updated with all your info. Best of luck to you.

May the schwartz be with ya!!

Hi,

I am Mainak Majumder, going to join Fanshawe College from this Sep'11.My previous qualification was B-Tech in Information Technology and I got around 73% of marks.
My new course is Information Security Management. Also I have a work experience of almost 3.4 yrs in Systems and Infrastructure.

I have some queries..

1.Will it be a problem for VISA?

2.Is it a good decision to carry on this course from Fanshawe College?

3.After reaching Canada, should I opt for a different course that suits with my previous study or work?

4.If I stick with that course, then after completing, are there any job prospects?

I am still waiting for my loan to be approved. Then will apply for Visa..nyway Thanks in advnc... :)

Hey bro.....Congrats on your Admission.....Regarding the course you chose, whether it's related to your U.G. Second whether you are gonna do Masters or Post graduate Diploma or just ordinary diploma. If it's a 2 years masters course or a PG Diploma it's fine, but if its just a diploma then it might raise doubts over the course you have chosen. Since doing diploma after a bachelor's does not make sense. Regarding the job prospects opening are always there, but you need to know whether this course will help you in anyway. You have to do lots of research on that and then choose your course. All the best on your Visa.....

Hi Guys,

There was a meting between The Indian Union minister of State for Human Resource and Management, Union Minister of State for External Affairs With the Canadian Minister for Foreign Affairs @ Carleton University last month. A number of accord has been signed between these two countries, And one significant pact is two Increase the number of student visas from India. And this will be put into effect from the next period of intake onwards.

So there will be a higher percentage of successful student visa from next term. So guysss just keep trying....All the best :) :)
