Student visa

I have 3 years of education gap and completed BE in Electronics and communication engineering with 8 backlogs
I heard that from all consultants that i can not get student visa because of this
Is that true?
Should I apply for canada or is it waste of money?

No i was studyingat that time i have marksheet
Two years in 12th standard
One year in diploma engineering

Okay but i heard that there is no chance of visa if you explain in sop also

6.5 overall and 6 in each
