Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I am interested in studying in Canada, I have few things to clarify,


1) Do I have to pay an admission fee for colleges to send my documents and request for an admission/offer letter (I paid 100 CAD for Conestoga and sent scan copies of my documents, but still no respond from them ) ?

2) Why is it difficult get VISA to colleges in BC province (Some says it is difficult) ?

3) Can apply for PR after a one year study program+one year work period ?

4) Is every two year study programs offered by Canadian colleges in every province are eligible to apply for two or three years post study work permit?

5) Can I study two years in different study fields (1 year dploma in Marketing and 1 year diploma in IT) and apply for a two or three years post study work permit?

6) If I decided to change my college, before ending the study programme or after ending my study programme, do I have to again show my financial status to CIC when changing the college or programme?

Hi Monty,

My name is Terry and I had applied for student visa on 28th July, however on 28th August i got this mail from Bangalore embassy and the following documents where submitted immediately. Till now there isn't any reply yet about my passport please help me since I have taken extension from my college as well.


Dear TERRY NELSON PEREIRA:
This refers to your application for a Temporary Resident Visa to visit Canada.
Additional documentation or information is required in order to continue processing your
application. Any documents not in English or French must be accompanied by a certified
translation in addition to a photocopy of the original document. Do not submit originals unless
specifically asked to do so.
Provide
Employment letter from EIH - The Oberoi confirming your employment from 2012 to 2013
Please submit the above requested documents through VFS. In case of online application
please submit through my CIC account.
If the documents requested relate to your host/inviter in Canada, he/she may send them (if they
prefer to do so) directly to our office. He/she should clearly indicate your file number to avoid
delays.
Please note that this is not a new application and no new fees are required. Your file will
be held for 30 days for you to comply with the above request. If we do not hear from you
within 30 days, we will assume that you no longer wish to pursue your application and
will close your file accordingly.

Please help...

1) Some colleges have admission fee and some don't.. so it depends which college you are applying.

2) Nothing like that. 100 people say 100 different things.

3) 1 year is very less time to discover things. I will strongly recommend to go for 2 years course or even 1 + 1 is okay. Still if you want to go for just 1 year then try province like Manitoba or Saskatchewan (with co-op). still i won't recommend you to opt for 1 year course as 1 year PGWP is very less time to discover things.

4) Most of them. Still to be sure check with CIC.

5) Absolutely! doesn't matter what you take once you are in Canada. 2 years or 1+1 year courses get you two or three years post study work permit.

6) Yes! i guess!
