Student visa with spouse

I am planning on applying to Canada on a student visa with my husband from Nepal.
I will be joining an MBA course. I am not sure if my husband should apply for a TRV or OWP.
What documents should my husband show for applying to Canada as a dependent.
My husband completed his 10+2, 6 years back and has no work experience. Will this be a deciding factor on our Visa acceptance?

Thank you for your help.

Hi thankyou. So you think my husband should apply for OWP and not TRV?
From what I see in the checklist, there isn't much he should show (that is if I looked at the correct checklist) - his passport, my study permit, citizenship, license photocopy, marriage certificate..
I was wondering how much bank statement I should show? And also a seperate bank statement for my husband is necessary?
Do you need to get a job to apply for OWP? or you can do that once you are in Canada?
Also do you know what is the chance of getting the visa?
Thanks again and would be nice to know what happens with your application.

Same situation. I will apply with my husband for TRV not OWP within August. I think separate bank statement is not necessary but you can show if you have. You need to show 4000CAD more for living cost. So in total you need to show atleast 14000CAD for you and your spouse. I hope we all do get our visas. Fingers crossed.

Thanks! I really am confused whether my husband should apply for TRV or OWP.
I get mixed response through the internet on which is better for increasing the chance of approval.
Do you mind giving me your reasons for TRV?

Also is it necessary to submit photo evidence of your marriage like for Australia? Marriage certificate should be enough right?

Thanks again.

We are taking risk. I also got mixed response from this blog and the internet but we have decided to give it a try. I believe that if we put our documents strong, we will be granted visa, even if we apply alone or together. What do you think?
You can send pictures if you have.

I also strongly suggest to apply together but always remind that CIC looks both profile seriously so try to make both profile strong with good explanation letter.

Could you please kindly share your experience? What are your reasons for strongly suggesting to apply together? Thank you.

Actually this also depends case by case !! For example if you are young just have few yrs of work experiences ,
In this case if you apply together, probability of getting acceptance is higher. CIC always prefer to see young couple together. But if you are above 35 yrs then in this case it's pretty hard to convince CIC for study permit with spouse. But if you have strong evidence for affection to home country ; go on it.

We also have applied for both study and sowp for this fall from Bangalore VFS on 21 July. I think its because of our files together, its taking time to get even medical updated. Everything is "Not Needed at this time".
Does any one have any idea, how much average time it take for the application together ?
