Student visa TAKING SOOO LONG

Hi guys, so I'm a grade 12 graduating student, accepted into Universoty of Waterloo
If everything turns out as I planned, next year I'll be in Waterloo no doubt
HOWEVER, the student visa I'm holding expired on April 1st ,2013.
2 months before that which is February 22,2013 I mailed out my new high school visa application(it wasn't expired yet), it's taking 3 months already and it still hasn't reached me. I am so frustrated right now
because I need my new student visa to apply for my university visa.
And in July I will be going to Hong Kong for vacation for a month and a half,
so i desperately need the visa almost RIGHT NOW. I just don't know what to do!

I want to ask you guys, is more than 3 months normal?
and on the website it says working on application received on march 12,2013 already,
I know that they received mine on Feb 25,2013. so if they're working on the ones received later, WHAT HAPPENED TO MINE?!
I want to talk to an agent but I just keep on waiting and waiting and NO ONE EVER PICKS UP THE CALL
I'm seriously so frustrated I've been crying so much.

What should I do?!!!!! will it be possible that they lost my visa during the mailing process?!

Were you holding a Canadian visa about which you mentioned?

Well I am off to sleep so I better post the reply assuming the visa was already a Canadian one and you are in Canada.

3 months is not an usual duration for the processing. However, inland applications are a little slower than outland applications. There is no need to be frustrated. You can send CIC an email asking whether your application is in order. Why didn't you apply online?

Check you CIC account, They might mailed you regarding your application.
Because it's not possible that you didn't got any answer .
Because today they are checking 23rd Mar, 2013 paper application.
And you applied in Feb,2013.

Better mail the processing center and found out the reason for delay.
No one can enlighten you except CIC people.

hi, thanks for your reply. CIC DOES NOT HAVE an email address. which I think is stupid
because their hotline never been picked up.
I'm so worried. and yes I am in Canada.
been here for almost 3 years already and my visa extension had never took that long.

will it really be possible that it got lost in mail
or am I being impatient here? anyone had similar experience?

I checked my CIC account already and it says No Message

There is a possibility of lost application because in past one member in this forum faced the same problem.

So anyhow contact and ask about your application.

contact them. They will re-send it or will direct you properly.
