Hi All, Please kindly give me an advice on following matter. It is very urgent.

My husband is willing to apply for student visa immediately to join with September intake. He is going for a one year PG in Toronto. We were plan to apply for Husbund visa first later on mine (After he getting to Canada). We have already paid the 1st semester fee and my father is sponsoring partly to obtain the visa to husbund. We already showing CAD 35,000.00. (excluding 1st semester fee of CAD. 8,000).
1. Please let me know the possibility of apply later and obtain the dependent visa?
2. If we apply together, Is the funds shows in above is enough?
3. Do we have to show a sponsor for a dependent visa? Further do he needs to generate a monthly income.
4. My father is earning around CAD. 1100 per month and that will be shows to the husbund visa process. Is it okay to show the same when I am applying as dependent later? or Is it enough if we apply together?

1. Yes you can apply for SOWP after one spouse received their student permit.

Spouses of international students are not guaranteed a permit or visa. Exact requirements are not released. Finances do have something to do with it but it is unclear how much extra they want you to have. It will of course dependent on how much extra you have after tuition and living costs for one person.

Hi. Im not an expert or anything I would just like to share my experience hopefully it could help. Just recently received approval for me (student) and my spouse (open work permit). Online application last 8/29, got approved yesterday 9/12.

What I submitted:
Full tuition fee payment receipt, GIC-ensured that I have enough funds for the whole duration of our stay (based the amount according to the minimum funds required for me plus spouse) plus a little extra for books and estimated price for roundtrip airfare. Also submitted a joint account bank cert confirming additional funds for any unforeseen expenses. Apart from the financial proof submitted my recent transcript, ielts, employment and business docs complementing the past 10yrs employment/activity,previous passport stamps and visas complementing the past 5yrs travel history, marriage and birth certs, statement of purpose emphasizing relevance of course to my career and also ties to my country.

My spouse submitted similar docs except for the gic-just attached a letter confirming that he is accounted on the amount deposited. For his statement of purpose-brief background of his career, reasons for applying (ex. To give support to wife etc., how his work exp. gained in Canada would further his career once we return, also added how his skills can contribute to his future employer in canada),duration of stay-indicated the length of my study program, also highlighted the reasons why needs to go back once im done (ex. His business/promising career prospect etc., basically all the possible logical ties you can think of).
Hope this helps

Could you please confirm if I need to submit our marriage certificate as proof of our marriage to be able to bring my spouse with me or just need to submit her application also with my application as my spouse?

Yes, you need to submit your marriage certificate as proof of your marriage whether you apply together (together with your application) or separately.
