I think the “setting up an NGO” furthered complicated your SOP. You say move to Canada first but then you state can’t set up the NGO because your need more experience on your return to a country you are not a citizen of. So the ECE program really doesn’t allow you to set up your NGO on your return, so the program is not relevant. Don’t say what the NGO is but if you are running it shouldn’t you be doing a business degree, MBA or post grade in business? Ties your parents have are not your ties. You can show government pension if you have it.
I see how that could've complicated matters. I have already mentioned the NGO, so I'm not sure they would believe me if I change it to "I want to set up a daycare" or something related. What should I do? :( I said that working for different NGOs helped me gain a solid foundation to start one, so I would like to focus on developing a progressive curriculum and becoming an effective educator, which is why I went with ECE. I don't know what to do now since I already expressed how much I wanted to study ECE and how much I feel it would help me. :(

I hope you didn't actually put "move to Canada first" in your SOP.
I didn't mention that for sure. I just said my long-term plan is to start an NGO and I plan to return to the Philippines and work for international NGOs first before building it as I was aware it takes a lot of resources and time to start one.

So are you setting a NGO or a daycare. What is the NGO? If you want to be an educator, then apply to teacher‘s college. ECE programs focus not on curriculum development but working in daycares or as teacher assistants in schools.

Regardless of the possible delay, you should order detailed notes before anything else. Every case is unique including yours and just speculating (and having strangers speculate on your case without knowing the specifics) is only going to confuse and dishearten you further. Worse, you may be setting yourself up for more disappointment.

You say you have been waiting for this opportunity since 16, another 8 odd months is nothing. Order the notes and then reapply
