Do you qualify to apply as a skilled worker under the points system? If yes, you can apply but do not expect it any time soon. Current processing time through Buffalo 19 months and who knows what is going to happen when they make up their list of 38 professions if you are not on it.

If no, you will have to finish your studies and get a post grad work permit and then apply for PR either under the provincial nominee program where you live as an international graduate/student or after you work for a year, you can apply under the Canadian experience class.

If you want to work off campus, you need to get a student work permit, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-offcampus.asp If you want to leave and return, make sure you have a multiple entry TRV.

Thanks for the info... i just have a few more questions

1. for a work permit after finishing studies.. do I need a job offer?

2. In the Skilled Worker point system, they mention about work experience.. does that have to be experience in Canda? or another country (native)..

i just looked the NOC occupation lists and I mine is included, have 2 different options.

once again.. thanks for the info

1. It doesn't look like you need a job offer for post-grad. You can see it at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad.asp and it tells you what you need to qualify, when you need to apply etc. They also say in the how to apply section that if you have a valid off-campus permit, you can start your full time job while you are still waiting on your post-grad permit.

2. The work experience doesn't have to be in Canada for skilled worker. A lot of people apply for it before even setting foot on Canada. You will need to get documents from your past employers though.

I would like to know about the requirements to be able to qualify for the PNP program..

Anyone knowing anything about it, please reply to the earliest.
I've applied to the Humber College, the 8-month Wireless telecom course.
Got the Visa today..

And yes.. while studying, or after the studies, while working, if we return back to our home country, will that have any adverse effect on our PR application?
Lets say the return is just for a month, not more..

If you are interested in the PNP in Ontario, you can find it here: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/index.htm

Other provinces have their own PNPs with different flavours. You can find all the PNPs at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp
