Hello All,

I am soon going to submit my application for Canadaian study visa. There is a section in the application that asks if your visa has been denied to Canada or any other country. I applied for an Australian tourist Visa as I was planning to visit my sister. Me and my mom applied and she was given a visa and I was denied. So the question here is do I need to mention this rejection in the Canadian application form? Can they verify this for Canada and USA or for Australia as well? I dn't want to mention this rejection as I fear that this will impaxt my new application to Canada as well . Moreover, there are a document or two which I submitted in Australian embassy which I dnt want to submit in Canada. Please help with your expertise. Australian visa was rejected in May 2018. Canada study Visa would be for Jan 18. Thanks in advance.

Yes - of course you must mention the Australian refusal. You must answer all questions in the application truthfully. Yes - this information can be verified by Canada for the US and also Australia. If you lie in your application and fail to mention all refusals, you can expect your application to be refused and to be banned from Canada for five years for misrepresentation.

Tell the truth because telling lie can lead to denial of your application but make strong statement of purpose to clarify why you changed the country if you previously applied for Australia student visa
