Hi there,

Hope everyone's doing great.

I am starting this thread to get your valuable assistance with reference to getting some insights on applying for Canadian student visa at the age of 30 or after. I have a close friend who could not do any post secondary education due to personal circumstances.

He's been in his family business (not registered tho) for the past 12 years after he finished grade 10th/SSC and now he wants to study further. I would appreciate your feedback/comments on how he can approach this situation and particularly the following -

1. He plans to appear for HSC/Grade 12/High school exams in our home country and after passing the same he was planning to apply for a post-secondary diploma in Canada.
2. He plans to apply for a post-secondary diploma as a mature student.

Any suggestions?

I would say there is very little chance, the migration officer will determine there is no reason that person cannot study in India and the motivation is to emigrate.

Thanks mate for your response. What if my friend goes for a course which is pretty niche and also stating the international exposure being the motivation to study abroad?
as long as your friend can provide a Strong SOP that would explain the gap then there will be no problem.
