Hello everyone,
I am currently studying in a college and have a valid study permit expiring on 31st May 2012. I will be graduating at the end of April 2011 and plan to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. However, my student visa is expiring on the 30th of March 2011 and I have decided not to renew it as I will not be travelling abroad. Have I done anything wrong? Do I need a valid visa to stay in the Canada? Will it affect my application for the post-graduation work permit?
I would like to add that after recieving my post-graduation work permit, I plan to move to Saskatchewan and work over there than apply under the Provincial Nominee Category (Student). If I go to Saskatchewan straight after graduating, without a valid visa and post-graduation work permit, will it cause problems? Am I allowed to go there without these documents? I want to get to know the place more before I settle and work there permanently.
Everyone's answers will be appreciated. Thanks a lot everyone!![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
