i completed my 12th grade in 2014(51%) and after that I have 2.5 years of gap and recently completed ma 3 years in bachelors in business administration in may 2019 with 62% (no backlogs) and right now preparing of ielts so what i need to show for ma 2 years gap and is my case clear?
please help
If u apply under SDS with 6.5 not less than 6 u don't need to show 12th or gap.
They only require recent degree.
Ur visa is based on recent study

No mate I’m not kidding, I’m already here. 1st day of classes last monday. Durham College, Oshawa campus.
Hi,

Could you please help me with few queries. I completed my B.Tech in 2002 in Chemical Engineering. But my work experience is of being an IT Infrastructure Project Manager for past 9 years. Prior to that i worked in a Contact center. Now, I want to pursue a Diploma course in Information Security or a related curriculum (like Computer/Network security). I am in process of applying for it in University of Winnipeg. My queries are
1. I have two kids. If all goes well, will i have to pay for their education when they join me there
2. Can my wife get an open work permit while i study
3. Will i have to buy insurance for my family

Hi
I have done Bachelors of Computer Applications in 2012. I have work experience of 1 year and I can show work experience of one more year. After that I have 7 years of education gap. I have been preparing for government exams during that time. I want to apply for PG Diploma in HR Management from a college and not university (University education is out of my budget). What are the chances of visa approval?
Please reply soon. I am really worried for past few days.

Hello Shreya,

well, there are mix reviews you will find in this forum, even in outside real world. I do also have nearly 7 years of gap and I researched a lot to get information about whether I am eligible to apply for study visa or not. But really got mixed reviews.

I strongly recommend you to please listen to your inner voice if it says yes then please go for it. There are many cases I have read on this forum who got their visa after nearly 8-10 years gap and many also not got a visa even without any gap.

I am applying for student visa JAN 2018, gathering documents and arranging finance. Please keep in touch I will really help you to share much information which probably I haven't got easily.

Visa depends on mainly Three criteria.
1) your actual intention to study further after such a long period.
2) is your future study linking with your past experience or not?
3) prove that you will come back at the end of the study permit (just for visa officer)

Wishing you best of luck for your decision.

I got approved for a study permit with 14+ years "gap" after my B.Com.
Congrats for your success. And i also gave a "like" ;) as requested.

I am sure your SOP made the difference... I don't intend to ask for a copy of your SOP which sent to visa office.
However, it will be a great help if you could give few bullet points on what you think were the strong points in the SOP that were key to the success/approval.

#for example: Any strong family ties to home country like spouse is working in home country, hence high probability the candidate will return back after studies. etc...

#if I say, i will take a sabbatical from my work, will that suffice ? And this is the reality too.
I cannot afford to lose my job permanently on account of my 1 year certificate or PGDp

Any suggestions ?
I want to make sure that I am able to provide a strong and convincing case.

Best Regards...

Hi !! Im 37 yrs old and also planning to apply after 7yrs study gap. But i have been contionusly working since the last academic qualification and even after the completion of school. I did a brief research on the issue and this is what I hav learnt.
1. As others mentioned earlier- The purpose has to be solid in SOP. eventhough our main aim is to settle permanently in Canada we have to convince the VO that u r a genuine student and return to ur country..that includes
1.1 u have to highlight ur career progression up to now from what u have learned.Show them that u r well off at the moment with the current job and u r planning to step in to studies to move up the ladder.
1.2 why do u want to study the spesific program and how its going to help u to achieve ur career aspirations. what would be the final outcome. what r the demand for that job in ur home country. what r the additional qualifications or skills that u r going obtain and how it will help u in future.
1.3 Since we r being taught in English, we have to show them the best IELTS score. Eventhough the college accept with lesser gradings the VO might feel that u might struggle to follow the course. 5 to 7 years study gap means that u must have been woking in somewhere and obviously we might have been using the English language for office communications & emails though we speak in different native languages. As such VO might look for higher gradings.

2. highlight why u hav chosen Canada and the specific program.
3. Strong home ties like properties under ur name or family. That will prove that u have achieved aomething and u r planning for the next 5-10 yrs. If u hav not achieved an accumilated wealth so far having worked for 5-7 years VO might think what good would happen after anotger academic qualification .(this ia specially for old folks with work exp not for the ones just after school)
Thank you. Cherry picked list of recommendations.

Hi
I'm 38, have 13 years of job experience and 13 years of gap. I'm married and have 2 kids. last year I have applied for Canada immigration through Self-employed stream but I got rejected. Now I have an admission from SFU in BC in a Master program related to my B.A. I'm so afraid of getting rejected once again.
Can someone please tell me, is it possible to get rejected because of age, gap and a rejection history?
Hi....have you applied for Visa? What is your current status. I too have 13 years experience and trying to apply. Could you please share your experience

I worked as a content writer and editor for 17 years. I originally wanted to apply for Creative Advertising at Seneca College, but now shifted to Business Marketing after 2 refusals.

So here is the problem, after working for 17 years you should apply to master program in University. There is a very high chance that with diploma program the visa will get rejected.
