Hello,

I am 35 years old working as a Assistant Manager in one of the banks in India.
I have graduated in BTech Mechanical Engineering in 2007 &
Postgraduate MSc Mechanical Engineering in 2010 from UK.
from 2011, I am working in a bank. I have IELTS 7/6/6/6 overall 6.5

What are the chances of student visa success, if

I apply "Graduate Certificate Program" in Finance in Conestoga College, Ontario to make my profile suitable as per my work experience.

Experts please advise !!!

In my opinion, your chances are very low. Mainly because the program you intend to pursue will not convince the Visa Officer that you're a bona-fide student.

He can get as it shows in his previous history that he has studied in another country and working in India back...only he has to mention n make a strong SOP why does he intend to pursue this course . Even though having a masters degree... Stress more on gaining skills as a specialzation ... As u intend to grow more in finance why it's different from the courses in India all that

Will it have a positive impact on VO.?

Chance of you getting a visa are good.
Dont worry just apply. You wont know until you try. You have a good ielts Score, you can apply under SDS

I have similar profile, AGE 35
7 years of bank experience
did my BCS from India
Then MBA from Singapore (UK affliated university)
Applied for PG diploma in finance in Seneca.

My application time line:

IELTS : SEPT 2019
Seneca Offer letter: sometime in Dec
upfront medicals: DEC 2019
paid GIC and one year tution fee in FEB
THEN CORONA
applied in JUNE 2020
received AIP on 15th SEPT.

Now waiting for VAC centers to open so I can give my biometrics and finish up my application. i also wrote my story on this forum so people like you and me who are aged 30 plus can get some form of motivation.
