So I more or less made up my employment details while applying for CAnadian MBA. Dad is the head of operations, at an international branch of Pakistani company. I live with him and family in said international country.

It was not hard to make up details about work experience and the company branch went along with it since my father told them to.

Here;s my question now: when apply for the student visa, the form specifically asks for my employment details. Should I or should I not mention my 'work experience'. I think I will have to, since I am living on a working visa, also obtained through the same company.

So if I mention the company, title etc, how do CHC investigate? Do they contact company? Do they look at my tax returns or try and find my bank accounts (dont exist)?

i guess, u'll hav to provide proof for wat u intend to say that u hav been doing in the so called 'gap years'..showing a salary slip from the company u wrked should hlp,or a formal appointment letter /offer letter, or in simple terms an authorised bonafide letter in the company letter head stating that so and so has been working from ---to -- ,and was designated as 'such' in the company..

ur consultant can help better in this..state ur situation to him and he wil b abl 2 giv u better and correct ideas.. :) the abov is jst wat i know(think) shld be correct..

I don't really want to use a consultnat.

I can't show a salary slip either since I never received any salary. But I think I should be able to get a letter from the company on the letterhead and all. How do they go about verifying the information?

hi echelon,

since consultants are paid commissions heftily by commmunity colleges for each international student they bring in, they do not charge anything from us..it is good not relying on anyone, but for matters which no one has prior experience to guide u, its better to go for them. leaving it to you..

im at india, im not sure whether consultants there work the same way as in here..
