Dear All,

Me and my wife have got the visa approval, and we are planning to move to Canada in the next month before my semester begins on 5th September. I have some queries regarding travelling and travelling restrictions which I need to clear:

1) I will try to get both jabs of Pfizer vaccine, If I am not able to get the second jab, then do I need to book hotel or do the Quarantine for 14 Days.
2) My wife is pregnant and she will most likely to avoid the vaccine until the baby is born, so what needs to be done in this case, is there any restrictions impose on her?
3) My University is in Sherbrooke, Quebec and I want to travel to Bampton, Ontario, to stay with my brother and complete my Quarantine there, is it allowed to enter Canada visa different port of entry?
4) Which Flight is best for travelling (keeping in mind for the COVID situations) from Pakistan to Canada?
5) What essentials thing we should be carrying?

If you are travelling to university of sherbrooke then please refer to

https://www.usherbrooke.ca/internat...onaux/immigration/preparedness-plan-covid-19/

They have some arrival and 14 days residency plans for their new international students. I have no idea if they can help students with their spouses.

Try contact with them through email they have mentioned and see if this can help you.

One of the forum member is travelling from Islamabad through Istanbul. So try turkish airlines. You can also contact the member. May be you can get answers for your queries from him/her

1) I will try to get both jabs of Pfizer vaccine, If I am not able to get the second jab, then do I need to book hotel or do the Quarantine for 14 Days. Depends on which date you are travelling:
  • Before 9th August: Yes and Yes.
  • 9th August and After: No and Yes (because you are considered non-vaccinated with only 1 dose)
2) My wife is pregnant and she will most likely to avoid the vaccine until the baby is born, so what needs to be done in this case, is there any restrictions impose on her? No restrictions will be imposed besides the necessary pre-boarding, arrival, Day 1 and Day 8 testing. And of course, quarantine. You should get a letter from her doctor saying how many months pregnant she is, that's she's had a healthy pregnancy so far and has kept her ante-natal appointments etc. It should also include any medication she's currently on.

3) My University is in Sherbrooke, Quebec and I want to travel to Bampton, Ontario, to stay with my brother and complete my Quarantine there, is it allowed to enter Canada visa different port of entry? As you've been advised, contact your uni for their covid readiness plan for their students. As far as where you can quarantine, you can enter through any of the appointed airports and quarantine with your brother - unless your school insists you have to quarantine on campus.

4) Which Flight is best for travelling (keeping in mind for the COVID situations) from Pakistan to Canada? Can't help with this one.

5) What essentials thing we should be carrying? - CIC's website lists the documents you are expected to have on you as a new student as well as docs required for clearance as someone who is eligible to travel to Canada at this time. You can also google to see what people advise you carry with you to make travelling easier in COVID.
