Hello,

I was international student in Canada January 2012 but instead of study i put refugee asylum. Before my file come to consideration for any decision i withdraw my case and return back to Pakistan.
My Question is, I still have my Visa till December 2013 and my study permit is also valid by the end of year 2013.
So may i travel again to Canada on the same documents ??

You will be deported from the Canadian airport itself as your old record will be shown on their system but then also will advice you to contact the Canadian embassy or consulate to confirm about it before making ticket arrangments.

If you have status in Ireland, you will not be accepted here and would be deported back to your country of origin, not Ireland, very quickly. If you don`t, the first question you would be asked if you come to Canada and claim refugee status is why did you not apply as a refugee when you were in Ireland. It would prove very clearly you were not a real refugee and were only trying to shop around and find the country that is most generous and the easiest to make a claim and again you would then be deported back to your country of origin, not Ireland.

I have to second Boetie -- I actually support people arriving under false papers and asking for asylum at the airport, because I believe that it is ridiculous to talk about a 'queue' when it comes to arrivals whose lives and families are in great danger. That option needs to be kept open, and it is going to be shut if people start arriving on Irish flights, claiming to be in imminent peril. Maher, if you don't want to apply for asylum in Ireland, then travel to any country in the European community that you can access without using a passport and apply there. If you're simply hoping to get better benefits than Ireland has, then I hope Canada has created a special category that they can use to deport you promptly. The right to asylum is a key category in our world today, something that goes beyond papers and formal procedures, and it is not for you.
