Hi,


In the student questionnaire form, they ask you for your recent activities.

I was in Australia from Feb 2009 until August 2011. I completed my Event Management Diploma in June 2010. From July 2010 until August 2011, I was doing Business Management Diploma, but didnt complete the course, and came back to India.

How do I explain to them the reasons for not completing the course? We cant add extra documents under SPP.

I do not think if you can really justify/explain any reason for not completing the Business Management Diploma. And this individual fact may create problem for you. It’s better if you avoid using the word ‘incomplete’ for your Business Management Diploma. At least on this forum we have one case where an Indian student was refused Canadian visa on the ground of not completing her prior studies in UK.

You have to options:

1. Do not mention anything concerning Business Management Diploma. Only write;

-Event Management Diploma (up to June 2010)
-Post Graduate Work Experience (June 2010 – August 2011)

*As you told me earlier that you have loads of voluntary work experience in Australia, I think you can “adjust” that duration over here. Under SPP/General Visa, you do not need to submit any proof/justification for your recent activity, so you are free to write anything logically. I hope you understand my point.


2. Mention only Business Management Diploma (June 2010-August 2011), but do not write anything for example, complete/incomplete. You do not need to submit Business Management Diploma Passing certificate (or at least pray that VO would not like to see it)

There is no PG work permit for my course in Australia. I can lie about the work permit and hope they dont ask about it. I have a work experience certificate from Jan 2011 until July 2011 in Events.
Or else, just say I was studying Business Management and hope they dont ask for the certificate.

But in the visa checklist, they ask for the last completed course certificate. I think its totally luck whether I get my visa or not from this point onwards.

Do they usually call SPP applicants for visa interviews?

Even if you presume that you worked after the completion of ‘Event Management Diploma’, it does not mean that you can work only on PG work permit and no one is asking you to show PG work permit of Australia. All they want to see your valid Oz visa. It’s better if you hide your second qualification and cover that duration with your work experience.

Yes, we have one case where one SPP applicant (sunny753951) was called for an interview.

Yeah I'd probably hide my business management course and show my work experience for that period.
