Is there any direct number u can get through and talk to somebody straigth away? If not, try 001-6139444000 then select options. i called this number to enquire about my PR application but not sure there was any option for visa etc. I had to hold on few min but at least u can talk to someone and he/she might be able to guide u.

If above does not work, I would send them a letter marked as URGENT on the envelope addressed to the STUDENT PERMIT UNIT. It has been nearly 8 weeks and u can mention ur concern whether they have ur applications etc and kindly ask them to contact u by email to inform u about ur application status. I would not beleive in email because it is easier to ignore or they may receive hundresd of them a day. I hope this helps.

Sorry about your refusal. LDN stands for LONDON, that's the visa office that dealt with your application I guess.

HI Canadabest,

Have not heard from you long time. What happened to your student permit and PR application. My student permit was refused but today i checked my ECAS and it says IN PROCESS. I have not checked ny ecas before because i was waiting for 2nd AOR. But it changed before i received any letter.

Hi Amercan

It is the same like you they refused to gave me visa. I applied for withdrawal of application before the decision because I was knowing that they will not give me, unfortunatly they return my passport with refusal letter.


My understanding is that, the reason why we didn't get visa is that. as our PR application going well the officer didn't want to let temporary before it.

On my PR there is no any news yet.

It is good news your e cas is changed,good.

check it on which page it says IN PROCESS if it is on detail page that is normal it is in process all the time.
