I opened this topic to share our time line for those who wait student permit visa from london visa office
My application delivered on october 20, 2010
I got acceptance in centennial college.
I will start class on January 7, 2011

Is anybody know how long the visa process takes?

Hi, my application for student permit reached london visa office this week.
I made an application for FSW1 in May 2010 and got first AOR in october. My complete application was sent to london office on 1st November 2010. Now i am waiting to hear from both applications.
Is there anyone who applied for both FSW and student permit? I was wondering how they handle the case if someone clearly intend to stay in canada because of application for FWS.
Please share your experiences.

my case is the same to you, I have also FSW application waiting for medical request, I was reading the way those two application goes together, as to my understanding one application will not influnce the other. if FSW application is not fanalized they will not consider for stay in canada.

Thank you for your reply. Wow, so we are on the boat with 2 applications. May i ask when did u submit your FSW complete application to london visa office? Just wondering about timeline how london visa office is doing. I'd say very soon you will hear about your student permit.

thank you for your wish, I submitted in june already recieved 2AOR waiting for the next step. what about you? update me when you have information from visa office.

I am also applying for admission against September. My FSW application is in process right now. I did not know you can process this two applications at the same time. I am sure you must show good ties to your country, to proof that after your studies you will leave Canada.

Please let me know how it goes with your student applications. I will soon be applying if i am granted admission for September session.

I have a question, did you indicated that you have an immigrant visa application in process?

I would like to know.

I did mention about my FSW application on my student permit application. Just thought they woule have my info on their system. Also I read somewhere that people can apply for temporary residency either to work or study while waiting for FSW decision.
I have not heard from them about my student permit application.

I sent it in May 2009. i am waiting for medicals and Abidjan visa office.

Still waiting for medicals as my file is in process.


I had one friend who her student permit was rejected, she also had FSW application at the same office.

She is now waiting for her FSW to be finalized.
