I have a few questions, I hope you can help me,

Here is the thing:

My wife and I got Student Permit (her) and SOW permit (me) approved. The problem is that we take care of the father in law and her mother was suppose to arrive in December (she is out of the country) so she can take over while we leave, but she didnt arrive and said she wont be able to return to the country for the next four months and wife wont be able to travel for the next 4 months (more or less). The university says she can start the next semester so that is not a problem, the questions are:

1- Is she going to get some trouble at POE if she entry to Canada 4-5 months after her permit was approve?
2- My Open Work permit is attach to her studies so I think I cant start to work until she start her studies, Am I right? I ask because I already have a job and if possible I would go first

1. Get a new LOA, and check the expiry date on your POE Letter, under 'permit validity'. You must arrive before that expiry date.
2. No, you can't work. You are only approved for the OWP, but you don't have one now and you won't get it without spousal SP.

Hi Sankyx,

Good day!!!

I was going through your thread and have few questions

1. For which start date your wife Program was going to start and from which location you are from ?

2.Did you applied your wifes Study permit and yours Open work permit at the same time or did you applied open work permit after you got your wifes study permit approved.

3.How long did the whole process (time line) took to get the result if you applied both the Visas at the same time and if not how long it took to get the result of your Open work permit?

4. If applying both the Visas at the same time do you have any suggestions or inputs to be followed for future applicants?

5. Also please provide webpage information(hyperlink) where i can follow .

It will be really helpful , if you can provide the above information

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
K

Hey Sankyx,

I am preparing for study permit and SOWP. Your experience during visa application could be of immense help to me I would want to ask you few questions. Is it possible to share your email address and/or whatsapp/viber so that I could direct your few questions. Your help would be really helpful. I have sent your personal message as well.
Thank you
