Student permit holder breaking relationship with his partner in Canada, lose status?

Hello guys.
I have a question related the OWP of a spouse of an International Student.
If they broke the relationship in Canada , living apart. The Spouse lose his/her status of an Open Work Permit holder?? This means that he/she has to stop working inmediatly? otherwise be ilegal? Or he /she can continue working in Canada until the end of his/her work permit?

The spouse can remain in Canada and continue working as long as the OWP is valid.

They won't be able to extend it but it'll remain valid till the date mentioned, regardless of their relationship status.

It doesn't matter. The answer is the same. The spouse can remain in Canada and continue working on the OWP for as long as the OWP is valid. IRCC will not cancel the OWP.
