I applied for student permit online on 28th May. I have got my biometrics done the next day. Since then, except biometrics completed, nothing changed. Though the processing time shown is 7-9 weeks as shown on cic website, I guess it is for manual application, for online it should be quicker. Following are the messges shown online:

You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents
We do not need additional documents.
Interview
You do not need an interview.

Final decision
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
In KSA one of my colleague also applied and got student permit stamped in 12-14 days for manual application, even when online time for KSA was 5 weeks.
I can't do anything except waiting for their decision. My session begins in September 2018 for that I need to arrange my accommodation and other things.
Any valuable insight about this matter is highly appreciated.
