Hi Everyone,

I need help from my Pakistani members on this forum, Please can you guide me and other members, what is the procedure of applying for “Student Loans” for Canadian visa.

1. What documents are required for student loan when we apply for loan ?
2. What security do we have to submit to bank ? Will in form of property acceptable for banks?
3. For how long can we keep the Student loan in our account ?
4. Any particular banks that deal in student loans in “Karachi” ?
5. How is the property evaluation done ? Is done by some audit firm ?
6. Will bank will issue a letter for us or a certificate ?
7. Lastly, Which is better running finance or student loan, I have heard since February CHC isn't accepting running finance as a reliable financial source ?

Please add much information and detail as you can to the above queries so all the member can benefit from your information and experience.

here in Pakistan i think there is no bank provide full educational Loan.....you can use running finance.

I would suggest you to go to some banks and ask these question from them. Pakistani student's don't take such loan and therefore, it will difficult for you to find someone with true knowledge about this query.

I know banks dont give away loans to students, but iam talking loan in terms of "Loan Letter", The one which is used with the bank statments, Anyone have used them before or any information regarding "Loan Letter".

No.its not a good option because in thy eyes of CHC you will show just fix deposit statement and you have to show your source of income.......but for full educational loan(that is used in India) no need to show source of income and other document about statement.

I have my parents National saving certificates, are they good source to show fix deposit statement ?

As far as i know there is no established student loan procedure in Pakistan which can be presented to CHC..........

a friend of mine told me once that i u open a bank account in habib bank and then a guarantor of yours put 20 lac or what ever amount for 1 or 2 days then the bank will issue u a loan letter. and bank will charge u almost 6 thousand rupees. Many students have done this thing or uk but im not sure about canada whether it will be a positive or a negative impact.
furthermore there wouldnt be any physical presence of this loan amount but they give u loan sanction letter. whenever chc call them for inspection then they tell them that yes we have given him loan.
go to habib bank and ask them this. hope this will help u

i can't recommend running finance.I have heard that from february 2012 chc islamabad doesn't accept running finance. may be its not true but someone told me

you can use running finance its not a problem dude......many people got visa based on running finance.
but you must have to show the source of income.
