Student GIC as Proof of Funds

I am a student in Canada and I recently got Invitation to apply for Canadian PR from my previous credentials (back from my own country). I have a student GIC account with some CAD in ScotiaBank. Can I consider student GIC as a proof of fund for FSW application?
