Hello everyone, I made my first application back in June and got refused in august (subsection 216 1 typical stuff). I re-applied in august with lawyers who have been helping me so far with everything. Re-submitted my biometrics (which received a validity letter with my first application) and got my AIP on September 3rd. Do you guys think I'll be accepted soon? and does my university have to be on the IRCC "approved-for-travel" list before they respond with final decision?

Some help would be appreciated, I lose hope day by day.

EDIT: Forgot to mention my studies started 2 months ago in september.

Hello there,

Congrats for getting AIP, My application got refused for same subsection 216 in late November, and I have applied back in 1st October but still after around 45 days there is no response.

Are you a Kuwait resident or citizen? where are you originally from?

Kuwaiti citizen :)
That's great :) If you have received AIP, there is 99% chance that eventually you will get student visa.

Which university did you apply?

Keep in touch with your university, once they are in approved COVID-19 list, you can contact the university to help you as well.

Good luck!
