HI,
So i am an international student, doing my masters from Concordia university, Montreal, Quebec. I am also currently doing some french courses in order to get qualify for PEQ as i want to stay in Canada after masters. I know that i can run the procedure through getting PGWP and then CSQ but due to last government policies it was taking very long but at the same time continuing french with studies is getting really hard now as the levels are increasing.
My question is since there is a new Government now.. is it worthy enough to put such efforts and get CSQ through PEQ? Approximately how much time the normal process is estimated to take now of getting a CSQ normally?
Any other suggestion?

In order for me to be able to apply under PEQ
I had to have earned a program offered in quebec that is 1800 hours over and
acquired french proficiency in listening B2 and speaking B2.

Before the year of 2013, it was easier in terms of language but now, the quebec government is filtering people to have more french people and influece.

I am pretty sure the requirements are still the same.

The procedures and requirements are the same.

And as mentioned above , your program has to be 1800 hours + , which is equivalent to 2 years I think.

I don't really know how hard is it to get a good score in the French exams, I am taking one next week and I haven't done any preparing courses.

TEF is not like the DELF.

TEF is based on scare you get.. You will have for example an exam on Oral Expression and if you get x> you get B2 , if you get y> you get C1 etc..

for DELF, you decide what level you wanna take, and you get the level once you pass the exam.

I applied for TEF so my score will specify my level.

Yea, But you still need to have a level higer than B2 in both listening and speaking in TEF. That is the whole of that test, if you are using it for immigration.

Yes, I took the oral compr/expression and written compr.

Got A2 in written comp because I wasted alot of time reading the long paragraphs and there was a girl who wanted to go to the toilet during the test and she fought with the supervisors and there was alot of noise so I lost concentration.

Got B2 in oral compr, I lost alot of points because I didn't understand the word (hostile) in the choice, I thought it means something positive so I chose it for the positive expressions, while it means against*.

In the Oral expression, I did well and they were satisfied, it's all about keeping talking and show them that you can express what you want to say in French without being blocked, and if you feel blocked, try to alternate a little bit .

Hope I get at least B2 in my oral expression, I know that my A2 is excluded and it counts for 1 point so whatever..
