Hi,
I have a question regarding student visa.

Is there any restriction of Student visa that If someone gets student visa then he must travel to Canada within lets say some days or X months otherwise his visa will become invalid?

If someone can mention official link about this problem it will be more helpful...

Thanks.

once you have visa you can travel,if they ask anything just tell them that you came early to make your living arrangements and to adjust with weather etc.

Just to be safe, enter Canada within 1-2 months before the studies starts. Because if you went to Canada after your studies has started, they will start asking questions on why you came late in Canada, your studies have already started?

If you went early, 1-2 months before the start of your studies, you can tell them that you have to make arrangements to find an apartment or room and get to know how things work in Canada.

what happens if they issue my visa too late for me to start school, does that rule still count?

Thanks for giving useful information.

But what happens If I get visa late and I miss my University classes. Same question as of sisi123.

Usually the Visa officer issues a visa by looking at the start date of the Univ/college. 99% of the time the visa office wouldnt give a visa after the start date, he would refuse the application for visa saying reapply with a differed letter.

1. You won't get visa once classes start. You will be asked to submit a letter of deferral for the next intake.
2. You can enter Canada as long as you have a valid visa (TRV) and an updated letter of deferral.
