there were on strike on 07,June,2013. And my friend received his VISA on 11,Jun,2013.

Can we please refrain from posting unconfirmed news and dont be a source of chaos here.

They did not say anything about stoping their official work. They said that minimal processing will go on and humanitarian visa will get priority .

The strike is only affecting those 12 specific high commissions. Please get your facts straight, and get your news from North American sources, not whichever paper you linked to.

If you go click on the topic for CHC Pakistan, you will see that processing is going on as normal. In fact, almost a dozen students have received their medical requests over the last three days.

Your application will ONLY be affected if you applied to any one of the 12 high commissions mentioned. Stop spreading misinformation.

Please go to their official site and check it Yes you are right there is a walk out in the 12 major commissions but overall all the Canadian Vo's are on strike !!!! 1350 of them in total !!! Cheers ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Brav their is always a point in discussing things as they will lead to an in-depth analysis!!!! But reading and understanding the facts requires you to go beyond that which we are doing it here !!!

Can anyone tell me if the strike has effected their visa application and caused any delays, etc? I am a journalism student in Canada and I'm doing an assignment on the effect of the strike on International students. Any help would be great! Thanks!
