i am new to this forum. i have one small but very stressful query to ask:

I have just done my medicals for London CHC. during medical, DMP asked me if i had any operation previously. i said, YES, as i had a hernia operation back in 1999. the DMP checked the scurmark & wrote on the medical questionnaire form that i had hernia & a scurmark is visible.

does anybody know if this will delay my Passport Request from London CHC or will they ask me to go for further medical or checks? please advice if u had similar experience. i will be grateful. God bless You, all.

i myself doctor and apply for PR.there is no need to worry.it is normal surgical procedure and DMP's duty to mention about all previous diseases & opertions.infectious diseases like TB,HIV,HCV,HBV,some congenital diseases ,that can make one dependent on govt.funds of canada or those can infect others r of concern.
so relax ;D

My husband had a hernia operation too back in 2000. That was not raised as an issue.

but will they/ did they ask you for further medical check up or did it/ will it delay the application process?

Hi,

There is no problem and they will not request any other medical test, It will also not make any delay, You will get your Passport request within normal time. London CHC is bit slow comparing with other CHC.

Best regards

Hi,

It is written on on medical request and instruction to the DMP, May you did not read that paragraph it says about Canadian government only concerned the diseases which have economical impact on Health department or very expensive or it is communicable to the general public ( like communicable diseases) . Moreover they are concerned about, HIV, T.B. But post surgical hernial is not burden on the economic system and Post hernia it is not very expensive process even it need to repair, if you have recurrent or even it well be post surgery an other hernia, well be not a big problem and it will not affect your immigration processes.
May you can go-through this link. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/index.asp

I hope it will help you. You can relax do not worry about this issue.

Regards

hmisabpk

My husband got his visa already. There was no question/additional medical request about his hernia operation. I hope this info will make you feel better.
