Stressed over trying to sponsor my wife

Lebanon is also in a very bad economic crisis and my grandmother passed away shortly after. Me and my wife have maintained daily contact with each other. It’s just so frustrating! I know people who hardly knew their spouse and had no issues; it’s all luck of the draw. I think my wife just happened to get interviewed by a strict officer with no remorse.

travel has been back up for a while but it’s doesn’t negate the fact that the virus was still running rampant in some areas plus I’m not the richest person and really can’t afford to take time off work.

“marriage or convenience” many marriages are arranged with no issues.
Jamaica has one of the highest crime rates in the world and an economic crisis. Covid was rampant, but I managed one visit in 2021, two visits in 2022 and one in 2023. I am not rich either, but I worked 7 days a week for 18 months to fund my trips and to send financial support to my wife monthly. Covid and economics are not valid reasons for not seeing your wife since 2021. I would have your wife apply for a TRV. Or you should go see her. Just my opinion.

Probably I meant to make that bet offer earlier and forgot.

This is exactly why you should bet with me, 'against' yourself - because you will lose your bet, your wife will get her PR, and I get a beer.

If you truly believe you are unlucky, you should use that power - I mean, mostly to benefit me, but it's okay if your spouse gets something out of it too.
If she gets approved, I'll be a sport and buy you that beer :)

Same here, 28 days in the Philippines and I will fly this coming Sunday, can't wait for it!

@Kaibigan We also talked quite a bit about your case and I agree with @armoured that you will get it for sure...
Well, okay then. I'll buy you a beer too! Maybe a San Mig if we are in the Phils at the same time :)

Maybe I'll ask @scylla to join us. She has been supportive of me (and many others here) and has put up with my occasional rants, petulance and fits of pique, resisting the urge to tell me to step back and take a more mature approach.

Would y’all mind if I added one more question.

My brother is sponsoring me to Canada as a dependent child under Humanitarian and Compassionate.
In 2021 which was at the time of the application my brother had low income, however he submitted my application to IRCC.

Since then they had asked me to do Medicals and biometrics which they received them. My brother’s income has increased and is more than the necessary requirement now but unfortunately before he sent them the letters, they made a decision this week and they’ve sent a refusal letter and an appeal notice.

Most important details below:

Dear Xxxxxxxxx

I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a member of the family class, the class in which you applied. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the above paragraph(s) for the following reasons:

It has been determined that your sponsor did not meet the required minimum necessary income at the time the application was submitted.

So what should I do next? Can I ask for a reconsideration from IRCC while submitting an appeal to IAD before the appeal notice deadline which is 30 days.

Also, can the Immigration Appeal Division make a decision based on the evidences without any hearing.

NB: my application process office is in Nairobi. Does anyone know how can I contact the officer who made the decision or the whole office.

I doubt you will see much response, given you have posted to a thread about a very different issue and, as well, this thread is probably at about the end of its life cycle.

My suggestion would be posting your question in the "Refugees and Asylum" section of the forum, which seems to have a number of posts about H & C cases.

Since writing the above, I notice you have posted this same question 4 times today in 4 different threads. That is not helpful to you or anyone else. As well, I see that @Ponga has already provided you with a courteous reply and it is likely correct.

The letter you quote says, in part:
"It has been determined that your sponsor did not meet the required minimum necessary income at the time the application was submitted."
So, it seems to be essential that the income requirement be met as of the application date, not at some later date. That is probably correct and therefore the decision is correct. How to address the problem I think best answered by @Ponga.

Thank you @Kaibigan I was just boosting my account it says no replies post more and I was going to delete after I get a response

anyway my application still qualifies under the family class and I know it was refused correctly what I was asking was whether I can add more evidence after the decision.

Sorry, but I really don't know how to answer your question any better than @Ponga. I have doubts about whether you can now salvage the application by sending fresh evidence. Maybe someone else can give accurate, complete information. An immigration attorney should know.
