Re: Canadian visa approval probability for my profile,Senior members Please help me

visa approval chance totally depends on luck [ mood of visa officer at the time he is looking your file ] provided that you have submitted all documents correctly, so just apply and start praying.

Re: Strength of profile? does the gap of 10 months matter? Seniors Please help me

profile strength is not a concern as visa chance is totally luck thing provided that documents are correct, GAP is looked seriously and must be filled with something , like medical , anything which looks legit.

that is not true. luck is only 5 percent of the whole equation.

example: tom, abe, harry, dick, maninder, bhusan, lolman, lolgirl.........upto 100 people, submit 100 student visa applications over the course of whole year. but each one of them submits the file with a missing document.

now as we all know that all these 100 files will be rejected as there is hard rule that application should be complete for getting visa.
does this mean that VO had bad mood during all 100 application over whole year? NO, that's not possible given that VOs are humans.

therefore, it is proved that application depends on the documents and not "totally"on the mood.

this example is not an actual representation of all factors involved, but it still highlights the flaws in your logic premises.

I would say the visa is dependent on the impression your file portrays. (still other factors involved, luck involved is that whether VO gets the impression which you intended to portray through you application.-----so if you are able to calculate impression factor (i tried but was not able to do it efficiently), luck is reduced to negligible.)

Hi,

I am an engineer with 3 years of experience. Please provide your review on my profile and best course that suit me.

10th: 74%
12th: 60%
B.E. (mechanical): 60% (VTU Bangalore)

No Year gaps in studies but, had some backlogs in engineering.

3 years of experience in Marketing Communication, pre-sales and business analytics.
Worked for fortune 500 companies: Airbus(1.5yrs), Aon PLC / Aon Hewitt (currently working here)

Have volunteered for NGOs and organised charity events and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities at both companies.

I am confused which course to choose. Since i am good with analytics want to do a Co Op PG diploma in information science and analytics from george brown, but i am also interested in the strategic marketing (coop) because of my background in marketing..

Please help me making the right choice, if things go well i'll apply for the Jan 2015 intake.. but i dont mind waiting till sept 2015 intake. Does applying in jan or sept make a difference?

- Thanks Karthik ;)

Your gap is pretty fine. Should not be an issue. IELTS is okay too & Academics are brilliant. Go ahead right away, for best result hire a CIC authorized agent to help you with paper work as quickly as possible.

Yes, i have considered those options, done extensive research. But since i will be going on 100% loan or least 90% loan. So i dont want to gamble taking a large amount on loan. Also taking a 20 Lac+ loan is too big a sum to repay. Considering that i want to live in toronto as i have a friend there and it has better job opportunities. All these factors are to be considered while looking for the right course within toronto, up until now i have not found a masters/MBA course in toronto which can fit into my budget range (9~11k $ excluding living).

Please provide your insights on this, if you have a different opinion.

PS: Taking a large amount as loan is my only concern.

Thanks Vidya :) the website is very helpful, i found some relevant scholarships. I will get some more info on the selection criteria for awarding them. For canada is it better to apply on ourselves to universities and scholarships.. or do we need a education consultant?

its completely ur discretion. I am taking help of my consultant because, i am working and am new to the city am currently staying at . . but frankly speaking, i spend almost 4-5 hrs on research for Universities frm offce..
anyways u have to do ur share of research to be on safe side..Agents ll help u getting the docs right and getting them notarized and all. Google is the best agent as per my experience :D

I am sharing my plan:
I have a 3 year bachelors so am going for a 1 year PG and simultaneously preparing GMAT to hit the universities and scholarships.
If am lucky enough and get job after PG and if am able to get a PR, i ll be considered as a domestic student, scholarships availability for PRs would be more + the cost of study would be less..
and my back up:: My hubby filed for PR :p..so if not that then this ..but ll do masters once am a domestic student..

hope things move as per plan for all aspirants
