Strange status change from: We need additional documents to We do not need

hHello, everyone

I'm from Hong Kong, so I was asked to provide HK police certificate on early June, and I applied, however, before the police certificate issuance, my CIC status of "Review of additional documents" changed from "We need additional documents to process your application“ to "We do not need additional documents",

I'm wondering what's wrong with the change, and I haven't got any notice from IRCC for whether they have received my police certificate, which they should have received it now.

Do I need to call IRCC for this?

Hey man, I'm actually in the same situation. I'm in India and was asked to provide a Singapore pcc. My status changed to 'we do not need additional documents' around 3 weeks ago and I uploaded the pcc only last week. I also got to know that my file is at a local visa office so pretty confused.

What's your background status? Mine says 'your application is in progress. We will let you know when we start your background check'

I am in a similar situation as you mate!
Uploaded PCC on 4th July and status changed > being uploaded>being reviewed>we do not need additional documents
BG has always been "'your application is in progress. We will let you know when we start your background check" since April 25th!
It took almost 2 months for them to pass my medicals too!
Completing 5 months within a week!
Really have no clue what's happening to my application!

It has been a while, and it later got changed to documents reviewed with standard procedure.

I think if you're sure your additional docs are good then no need to worry too much about the status shown.

Mine says background check is in progress for similar situation
