This medium has been so educative.

However a friend who wants to stop the process having been waiting since 2002 want to know how much s he going to loose to write to the canadian consulate to stop the process.

He has paid processing fees and RPRF for himself and his entire family.

Thanks

He will lose the application fees $550 for each adult and $150 for each child. He has to ask for return of the RPRF, but it will be returned. If he has been in the process for 4 years, he might as well let it run it's course. If he gets accepted great, if not he still gets his RPRF back so he has nothing to lose by letting the application run its course. He shouldn't put his life on hold, but you never know, he might get a visa.

U.K
Well if he does get one and doesn't want it he can give it to me lol!!

I can't understand why anybody would want to cancel their application after coming this far! We would do anything to go back.....we were stupid enough to live in the country and not become citizens...now it looks like we will never get back as no one has answered my questions or given me any helpful suggestions. Probably think what a couple of plonkers..well yes
we were but we would do anything to legally return.

Let the application run its course you wont regret it. Become citizens after 3 years and come and go as you please......what we should have done... I can't believe we wasted our chance.

PMM, Thanks. This will be communicated to him. Guess he is almost getting through and settling down in US or UK and he just believe he wouldnt need the Canadian stuff again!

If the pasture is greener for him somewhere, wouldnt blame him sticking to that, though.........

Thanks
