Hello everyone,

Please advise on how to proceed!

I did my landing on the 04/april and did a short stay (1 week). I was supposed to receive the permanent resident card in my Canadian address which I provided after 6 weeks, but I am still waiting. Is this normal? Should I fax them?

* I did try to call at some point while in Canada to check everything was correct, but never found a real person to talk to.
* Checked online, but couldn't find anywhere that shows the progress for the card. Is there a place?
* I keep checking the processing times, and the one for New Residents is currently at 50 days which have already passed. However, the one for Existing PRs has a line for "Initial Cards", is that the time that applies to me? 74 days?

Is there anything I should do? (I am back in my country by now of course)

The 50 days apply to u, but the info is as of May 16. It might have increased by few days afterwards. Keep in mind that its "processing time", which starts 1 day after ur landing and ends 2-3 days before u get it as dispatch time is not included. Hopefully u will be getting it in next 10 days.

well if you need to return to Canada, get a PR travel document from visa office nearest you.

Once in Canada, call CIC Call Centre 1-888-242-2100 and speak to agent and ask status.
Otherwise get in touch with your area federal MP and ask them to help you find status
