Hey I m still waiting for visa approval. College is going to start on 5jan . Is there any other option? Or is it ok if we miss orientation or after a week late?

Yes, you will be able to change to May intake if the uni agrees.
Just bring to POE the new enrollment letter from the university together with your visa.

Regina another thing . Does my previous study or backlogs counts that much for visa? Mine are 14 backlogs and 4 years delayed in. My UG . Chances of gettin visa is less ? Got one year work experience

Wait for visa. Then you may base the necessary to move to May intake on the grounds that you got your visa late for January.

hey guys ...i applied for visa on 8 dec. through Canam at Vfs Delhi . And i haven't recieved my visa yet. I am going to Algonquin College in Ottawa and my class is commencing from 5 jan. . I am having the file no. only. Can anyone tell me how i can check the status .
Unfortunately, you cannot.
Ask the uni in Canada if they move your enrollment to May or September. When you get a letter from the uni about the new start date and visa form VO you will be able to go to Canada with this two things 1-2 weeks before the new start day.
