Hi guy!

just wanna share my application track:

April 2008 - Submitted the MPNP application (Manitoba)
August 2009 - Received a letter of approval as Manitoba nominee & application for permanent resident package
Oct. 14, 2009 - Submitted the required documents together with the processing fee & landing fee
Nov. 6, 2009 - Received letter from embassy to submit police clearance
Dec. 15, 2009 - Received medical request
Dec. 17, 2009 - Took medical exam
Dec. 18,2009 - Additional Medical test done
Jan. 5 & 12, 2010 - Medical Clinic forwarded the medical results to the embassy

Question..

1. How long should i wait for a passport request? :
2. How did the immigration Officer send their request? is it by mail (post office), e-mail, courrier (LBC, Air 21, DHL) or by phone (cellphone or landline)? :

Hi Candy,
We almost have the same timeline. We had our medicals last Dec 18 and results were forwarded on Jan 13. We're a family of 3 bound to Winnipeg under family support stream.
They say we have to wait for like 3 months after medical results were forwarded. Although, the letter given to us by the embassy indicated 8 months of processing time so that's until May 2010.
I must say that it's a test of patience now.

i am also waiting for my passport request.this is my timeline:

application submitted to cic pos:june 11 2009
acknowledgement of receipt:august 11 2009
medicals and documents requested :november 9 2009
medicals done:25 november 2009
medicals forwarded:16 december 2009
documents submitted:22 december 2009
e-case updated to medicals have been received:8 february 2010

my application has been eight months in process and still waiting.usually the passport request comes by registered mail,at least in my country.

I'm glad that we almost have the same timeline. Thanks for sharing ..Actually i'm still hoping that the process of the application will only take 2 mos..how i wish :
We're also in Winnipeg, together with my husband & 2 kids. May i know if where in winnipeg you intend to stay?

We plan to stay with our relatives in Inkster.
Btw, what's your profession? I read in another forum that somehow the processing time has something to do with it - maybe? not sure though.

I hope so..I'm a registered pharmacist. i'm not sure if being a pharmacist will help, since it's under the regulated occupation. i am required to take a Canadian professional exam in order for me to be considered as a registered pharmacist in Winnipeg. how about you?

Hi Patience, would like to know what does it mean when " IN PROCESS" as status of VISA application in the website. My medical has been forwarded to CEM on Feb 18. I had my medical @ Nationwide. Hope you can explain. Currently, Im waiting for PPR.. It says they begun processing my application on Jan 14, 2010?

hello crizzy,
in process is a period between receiving application to when a decision is made.even when the person has already gotton the visa the e-case still states in process but will be updated to decision made whenever the visa is already issued.when they say they have started processing means that your file is being examined by the officer and it will go through the normal process leading up to visa issuance.meaning that on january 14 your file went into normal processing

Ok, got it my next question is what is the usual timeline for them to arrived at a decision? Just a month? Let say everything is ok.

first of all it took them three months to send passport request after medicals were done.passports have been submitted on march 1oth 2009 and we are awaiting our visa.when visas are stamped means that decision has been made and passports will be sent back.my application has been nine months in process.

We also had our medical in Dec 2009 and the medical clinic forwarded the results to CIC-Buffalo around 2nd week of January 2010. I received the passport request via e-mail last March 1, 2010.

Wow congrats..sorry i haven't update my application track, we received the PPR already last March 4. May i know if when & where did you send your passports? do you have any idea if how long it will take for us to receive the passports with visa?
