STILL WAITING FOR FURTHER CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE VISA POST

Hello everyone in this forum;

I have been waiting for correspondence from the visa post in Japan since I last received the AOR. I received the AOR in August. Then, in the AOR it is written that I shall hear from them by October 30, 2009. THe thing is I have not heard anything about my visa and my lawyer mailed the visa post twice. Until now the visa office has not replied back.

Also, when I check my status on ECAS, it still indicates " Received by Visa office ". It doesn't even say " in process". So, does this mean that something may be wrong? Why would the visa office not reply to the two mails the lawyer sent to them? October 30 was their deadline basically.

Do you think this could be that my background checks are not completed yet? Is this why I have not received my medicals? Or if the visa office is going to reject my file, then how long do they usually take when they do reject visa? I am so confused right now.

I was really hoping that the visa office would at least reply to the mail and let us know the process on my file but they haven;t even done that. I am suspecting that something may be wrong.

Can anyone with experience let me know what they think?

My case is not like yours but I afraid that staffs at Tokyo visa office are very slow.
I applied under 4121, sent the final document to tokyo visa office in December....nothing heard from them.
By the way, did you hear anything from them by now?

U can apply caips notes. Although thr will nt b much in it but atleast somthing is bttr thn nothn.

I am pretty much sure your case is safe, through background checks maybe. Your Ecas will not change to in process before you receive your medical request.
Also people are getting rejected much faster at Tokyo office. So if they are late for you, that could be a good sign. That friend of mine submitted full docs to the office in April 09 and received medicals in Jan 10! that makes 9 months in "received by visa office".

I suppose you are right. I am thinking now the same thing. I mean I think Tokyo office would reject applicants faster. So, anyways let us wait and see. There is always hope. NO news is good news! Once again, I really appreciate your comments always. Any updates with you? your case?
