Hi All,

I'm at stage 4 of my PR application (skilled worker class) I have a sent all the required documents to my visa specific office and have been waiting for 6 weeks now and have yet to receive an acknowledgement from them. My concern is my IELTS "expires" on the 24th of this month.

I've been trying to contact them on the phone - but never seem to get through. I've also sent my email twice but no response after 2 weeks. I've qouted my file number in each case. Strangely - when I tried to check the status on the cic website with my file number - it gives me an error. Appreciate some help on this matter - has anyone faced the same issue ?

thanks,
K

My concern is my IELTS "expires" on the 24th of this month= it won't be a problem. the main thing is that they have received ur IELTS v4 the expiry & even if they start processing ur application any time at a later date u don't have to submit another IELTS

Hi Shibleebd,

Thanks, good to know on the IELTS part.

As for the Immigration File number,

I went to the cic site, and I clicked the "I want to check application status" then in the first box selected "Immigration File Number" and keyed in my number. Filled in my surname, date of birth and country.

I tried all small caps and later large caps - but I get the same error each time: " We were not able to identify you...."

I'm wondering if the clerk on the other side typed in wrongly somewhere - either my surname or date of birth.

Anyway hope to hear from you again soon.

regards,
K

1) Don't worry. Your IELTS "expires" based on the date you submitted your application to the CIO, so since it was valid when you applied it won't expire anymore.

2) Have you checked how they wrote your name and info on the AOR? Also, if you have 2 last names, for example, make sure you use both for authentication.

for q2 i agree with the answers provided in e cas not important you write in small nor caps . if you get the we were not able to identify you . there somthing wrong in filling the blanks , you make sure you input right immig file no & birth date etc. & as you been told fill the surname exactly with what was written in AOR letter & pay attention to the spaces between letters , be patient & i am sure u will get ur e cas.

Thanks All for your encouragement.

Please may I know what is AOR ?
Is it the apllication form I sent to the CIC office?

Anyway the CIC office notified me via email to send details to my Visa office. I've tried several combinations of my name in the surname field, but no luck. My file number should be correct, and so is my date of birth. Still puzzled how I'm getting the same "cannot identify" message.

thanks again for all your help . I wish everyone success in your applications.
