Still not receive decision letter(step 1),app for PR was received by Singapore

Hi all,

CIC sent my partner(sponsor) a letter about the decision of sponsorship app (step 1) on 28/02/2014. However, the mailing address in the form is incorrect, so my partner can not receive that letter and dont know how about the decision.

CIC in Singapore sent me an email says that my application for pr was receive by Singapore office on 10/03/2014 and give me UCI number for online checking status.

With this situation was my partner approved as sponsor or not?
I and my partner are living outside Canada. Should we contact CIC in Mississauga and ask them about the result on step 1?

Most likely it was approved, otherwise they wouldn't start processing your PR application.

Your sponsor was approved... otherwise I can't see them sending your application to Singapore
Is there also a file number on your letter?
If so you can check ECAS using the file number and your husbands information

There are UCI and File number in my email from Singapore. I also can check my application status online with the UCI number.
