Still no visa for my dependants

Hi Everyone,


UK citizen has applied for a study permit through MYCIC online account on April 10th and got her approval 6 days after, but her spouse and 2 children have not received any updates yet. ( it's been 2 months)

Under the application status it still indicates "open".

Question: 1. is this normal?

2. How can I get an update, should I call CIC, email or fax?

I'm in the same situation regarding my dependents. I applied online on 3rd May with my family. My visa is here.. still waiting for my family visas to be processed.

Did you apply for the student Visa ?

Yes I applied for a study permit which has been granted. My spouse applied for an open work permit and visit visa for my toddler son. For the case specific inquiry, application has to exceed normal times. It has passed for my son while normal processing time for an open work permit is 6-7 months? Is that true?
