So i received a message saying that my document was sent to me on June 22nd, and i still haven't received it. Tried to call cic but it always says "we are receiving a high volume of phone calls and we can't transfer you to an agent now". I couldn't even find an email address on cic website which i can contact with. My old study permit expires at September 30th, so i would really like this matter to be solved ASAP. Thank you so much for whoever can give me some advices under this situation!

I am on the same situation, I got approved more than 6 weeks ago but the problem is I haven't wrote my apartment number in the application, so when the postman comes to the building and he finds no apartment number on the letter, he returns it to the post.

I contacted CIC, changed my address and they said they will leave a note to the post office to transfer my letter to the new address, 10 days passed and haven't received anything. Contacted them yesterday and they said there is no delay or processing time for this, the office should process the letter transfer as soon as they read the note.

My current study permit expires in 20 days, however, you should not worry because you were already accepted an extension so you are legally in Canada eventho the one you have is expired. The problem is I can't do the college reg. for the next semester since I haven't received the new SP.

Call CIC around 7:45 am ( Canada Time ) or eventho if they say that they have a high volume of calls, just continue trying, they contacted me to an agent after several times.

Goodluck and do not worry

Hi, thank you so much! You are more helpful than my international advisor! She just told me to try calling cic at different times of the day. I have filled in the right address information, so i don't understand why i still haven't received it, although this place is a little isolated. I think what you said make sense: because we already got approved for SP extension, we will be legally staying in Canada even after our current SP expires. But remember cic sent a message when they sent the document? There is a sentence on it says:This letter is not valid for travel and is not a permit allowing you to remain in Canada. So i'm not entirely sure. And you said you can't do college registration because of this? My international advisor didn't mention any of this, and I already paid the tuition for next semester.
Anyways, i will try calling cic again and again. Good luck to both of us and hope we can receive new SP very soon!

The purpose of the message cic sent when you got accepted is to inform you about the length of the study permit ( the new one ) and also it means that it's not an official document to lay on ! Like you can't go outside canada and return with this letter, you will need your study permit.

I came back to Canada one day before my visitor visa expires, and I did not have my new study permit, they checked my profile and saw that I got accepted an extension to 2017 so they let me in with no problems.

Just wait until you receive it or try to call CIC, for me I have no problem at all since I am LEGALLY in canada and I have a document ( no matter I have received it or not ) .

Hi Everyone, I had the same problem of missing my apartment number in my application, so I didn't receive my new SP over 3 weeks. Can you guys give me the CIC number or email, so I can contact them? Thank you for your support

Hi, did you get the mail eventually? May I ask how did you do it?
