Still haven't received ITA for IEC visa

I submitted my application to enter the IEC visa pool on May 2nd and still haven't received my invitation to apply. I received confirmation that I have entered the pool but that is all. 3 of my friends who I plan to go with have all received theirs despite them applying after me. They received their invitations within a week or so.

Have I potentially done something wrong? Is there anything I can do to find out why it is taking so long/chase them up? Is this a usual amount of time to wait (its been about 8 weeks as of writing this)? What should I do now?

What country are your from and age? Are all your friends from the same country? All you can do is raise a webform and wait.

It's a random draw. You might be selected immediately after entering the pool or it could take months. There is no usual amount of time.

As stated it is random, so it is not a first-in, first-selected draw. Wait. Check the quotas on the IEC site.

It's a random draw. I assume you are sure your profile was successfully submitted and you received confirmation of that. If so, they you would just wait a bit longer. The good news is that there are plenty of spots available. So you can expect to get ITA at some point.

yes i received confirmation and I understand that i will have to continue to wait. Nevertheless I am very frustrated that it is taking this long especially as I know people applying after me have received an ITA.

Just to update on this. I was still waiting for my ITA after applying 10 weeks ago. I have since withdrawn my profile from the pool and re submitted and have now received an ITA 3 days after submitting for the second time.

The amount of time i waited was not normal, something had clearly gone wrong on their side. If anyone else has waited a really long time i would suggest doing what I did.
